Chest Neck and Hands
The region of the lower neck and chest, called the décolleté, as well as the hands are important area of aesthetic focus that are often overlooked. The skin of these regions is easily damaged by UV rays and other environmental factors, leaving an array of brown spots, wrinkles, rough and leathery skin behind. Visible signs of sun damage appear around age 30-35 and without intervention become severe by age 50. The sooner we treat these areas, the better the cosmetic outcome.
The gentle nature of the skin in the neck, chest and hands necessitates that we chose aesthetic treatments very carefully. Until recently there were no safe treatment options and attempts to rejuvenate these regions could result in complications. This has changed!
In the hands of experienced physicians, there are now several technologies with proven safety and efficacy to treat the skin of the chest, neck and hands. They include Intense Pulsed Light, Fraxel laser, Erbium Peels and Portrait Plasma Resurfacing. The choice of technology to be utilized depends on the nature of the conditions being treated, the skin type and other factors. Sometimes we use several devices in combination to achieve best results. Dermal fillers such as Radiesse and Restylane are used to replace lost volume in the hands, making veins less noticeable and taking years off the appearance of the hands. |

The following devices and procedures have been chosen by the physicians of Reflections to treat the neck, chest and hands due to their proven records for safety and efficacy.
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)
Using advanced Intense Pulsed Light devices such as the Starlux and Ellipse systems, we can safely and effectively reverse signs of sun damage on the neck, chest and hands with a series of no-downtime treatments. This technology is best suited for individuals who suffer from sun and age spots as well as redness and broken capillaries in the skin.
Fraxel Laser
The Fraxel laser is an exciting new technology that resurfaces the neck, chest and hands, improving the tone and texture of the skin in the region. Improvements in sun and age spots, as well as fine lines and wrinkles and softening will be quite noticeable after a series of very comfortable treatments.
Erbium Peel
The erbium laser can provide improvement in the texture of the skin through a series of light peels. This laser treatment is comfortable and effective and should be performed as a treatment series for best results.
Plasma Resurfacing (Portrait PSR)
This revolutionary device uses a plasma gas to resurface the skin of the hands, neck and chest. Through a series of comfortable treatments, significant improvement will be noticeable in sun and age spots, fine lines, wrinkles and other textural abnormalities.
Photopneumatic therapy (Isolaz)
Using specific wavelengths of light and an advanced hand piece that applies vacuum to skin’s surface, we can improve sun spots and redness in the skin with a series of treatments.
Sapphire Photo abrasion
A conservative therapy performed by our aestheticians, this technology is replacing microdermabrasion as the treatment of choice for gentle resurfacing of the skin, making the skin of the chest, neck and hands feel smoother. Great way to maintain results achieved with other more comprehensive technologies.
