Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Procedures
There has been an explosion in the popularity of cosmetic plastic surgery in recent years. This can be attributed in part to aging of the baby boomer population, increased public awareness and acceptance and a greater choice of procedures that can, in the right hands, reliably transform our faces and bodies back to an earlier, more aesthetically pleasing stage of life.
When evaluating patients for cosmetic enhancement, it is our belief that individuals should be offered all available treatment alternatives, both non surgical as well as surgical. Armed with information, including the advantages of each of the options, patients can then make an informed decsion on how they would like to proceed.
The team of professionals at Reflections has a strategic alliance with Drs. Valerie Ablaza and Dr. Allen Rosen of the Plastic Surgery Group. Well known in the field of Cosmetic Surgery for their knowledge, skills and ethical nature, Drs. Ablaza and Rosen see patients for plastic surgery consultations at both the Livingston and Bridgewater facilities. Surgery is performed in a fully accredited, state of the art outpatient cosmetic surgery center. Patients are welcomed to tour the center at any time.

Breast Reduction
Unusually large breasts can make a woman-or a teenage girl-feel extremely self-conscious and cause a variety of medical problems such as back and neck pain, skin irritation and breathing problems.
Breast reduction (reduction mammaplasty) removes fat, glandular tissue, and skin from the breasts, making them smaller, lighter, and firmer. It can also reduce the size of the areola, the darker skin surrounding the nipple. The goal is to give the woman smaller, better-shaped breasts in proportion with the rest of her body.

The Mid Facelift
By the time we reach our mid-30s the soft tissue from around the cheekbones starts to lax and sag slightly, creating nasolabial folds. This flattens the mid face area and may make a woman's face look slightly masculine.
The procedure uses small cuts in the hairline and the inside of the mouth, so scars are practically nonexistent. The natural fatty layer over your cheekbones is lifted and repositioned. The benefits of a mid facelift include the improvement of nose-to-mouth lines and the roundedness over the cheekbones, restoring a more youthful appearance.
Ideal candidates for a mid facelift are typically between the ages of 40 and 50, when the cheeks appear to be sagging and the nasolabial area has skin folds or laxity |

The mini-facelift term has been used to describe the least invasive approach that provides for a more temporary solution in younger patients who are not yet true facelift candidates. Consumers may also hear the term S-Lift, which describes the type of incision that is used in the procedures. This incision starts at the base of the sideburn and continues on the inside of the ear to form an S shape. |

Minimal Incision Facial
Minimal-incision or endoscopic surgery is performed using a tiny fiber optic lens inserted through half-inch incisions placed inconspicuously in your skin. The lens is attached to a camera, which is connected to a television, allowing for visualization of the surgery. Additional half-inch incisions are made for the insertion of tiny scalpels, scissors and retractors. Your surgeon performs the procedure while viewing the television monitor and manipulating the tiny instruments externally. Minimal incision surgery is particularly useful with younger patients, where the removal of excess skin is not required.
