Filler For Hands – Available in New Jersey
Discover the secret to ageless hands! Dr. Chasin uses Restylane Lyft to rejuvenate, ensuring our true age remains a mystery! ✨🎃
Dermal fillers are well-known for their ability to treat facial wrinkles and restore volume loss, but did you know they have equal benefits for the hands? At Reflections Center for Cosmetic Medicine, our team of expert cosmetic physicians is pleased to offer this innovative hand rejuvenation treatment. Here is what you need to know about your options for hand fillers at our office.
What Are Hand Fillers?
Sun damage and natural aging can lead to wrinkles and thinning skin on the hands, giving them a more aged appearance than one’s actual age. Dermal fillers are a non-surgical anti-aging treatment that can turn back the clock to restore beautiful, youthful hands. These fillers plump the skin to smooth away wrinkles and restore volume to improve the appearance of prominent veins and tendons. Fillers can be used alone or in combination with laser treatments to address dark spots, rough skin texture, and sun damage.
Your Options for Hand Filler Injections
At Reflections Center for Cosmetic Medicine, patients can choose from three different soft tissue fillers for their hand rejuvenation procedures:
Restylane Lyft
Restylane Lyft is an FDA-approved hand filler made with hyaluronic acid, a naturally-occuring substance that moisturizes the skin and aids in volume and elasticity. Hyaluronic acid has also been shown to stimulate collagen production, which allows for long-lasting results. When injected into the hands, the skin is plumped with crosslinked hyaluronic acid molecules and prominent hand veins are covered up. Mild skin sagging and hand wrinkles can also be significantly improved with Restylane Lyft treatment. Patients with thinner skin and lack of fat are great candidates for Restylane Lyft.
Radiesse
Radiesse is also an FDA-approved hand filler. It is sometimes referred to as a biostimulatory filler because its CaHA formula stimulates the production of collagen, a protein naturally found in the skin. Collagen gives the skin elasticity and structure but, over time, collagen production gradually slows down which leads to the development of wrinkles and sagging skin. Radiesse is a great choice for older individuals since it can restore structure in the skin and replenish lost collagen.
Juvederm Voluma
Juvederm Voluma is another type of hyaluronic acid filler most commonly used to treat volume loss in the face. However, it has recently proven to be an effective option for hand filler injections. Voluma is made with VYCROSS™ technology which crosslinks the hyaluronic acid molecules, creating a stable gel formula. Like other fillers, it is injected into the back of the hands to gently plump and lift the skin.
Who Can Benefit from Hand Fillers?
As Dr. Chasin demonstrates in our YouTube video, hand fillers are a great choice for patients who are bothered by hand wrinkles and/or prominent tendons and veins. Oftentimes, the prominence of hand tendons is caused by thinning skin and lack of fat beneath the surface. The best candidates are individuals without a history of bleeding disorders or an allergy to lidocaine, the numbing agent found in each dermal filler formula. The best way to determine whether you are a good candidate is to schedule a consultation with our team.
