In the photos above, what you’ll see is the patient at rest and the patient actively frowning. What’s important to note here is that the wrinkles are gone without freezing her, or limiting her ability to make natural facial expressions. This is what our practice considers “good Botox” – very natural and yet, younger-looking.
Deep frown lines in the glabella (between the eyes) is a very common complaint. Most patients will find that early treatment with Botox softens the movement enough that it gives a good result, but for those with deeply set frown lines that remain at rest, filler may be needed to create a smooth result, as was the case with this patient.
We used Restylane Silk filler for this patient, which is a common recommendation for frown and forehead lines, but we do make recommendations for each individual during the free consultation with one of our physician injectors. Because we have all of the FDA-approved fillers available at our practice, our physicians are able to match each patient’s needs with the best possible option(s) on the market.
If you’re interested in discussing Botox and/or Fillers, we warmly welcome you to our offices for a complimentary one-on-one consultation with one of our cosmetic physician injectors.
