This patient had been struggling with Melasma, and like so many of our patients with middle eastern heritage, the treatments she had tried elsewhere only made things worse.
She had previously tried Clear + Brilliant laser at a different clinic, and while that is a laser that can work well for melasma, it wasn’t the right laser for her skin and medical history. Instead, we put her on a prescription medication called tranexamic acid, which is a pill, and we used a Yag laser to treat her.
She immediately saw a dramatic result – she estimated about 50% reduction in the darkness of her melasma after the first treatment – and she is shown here after a series of laser treatments.
She kindly agreed to share her story in a video, which you can watch here – although be forewarned that it might leave you a little teary-eyed. This was a true transformation, and we couldn’t be more thankful that she agreed to try this one last treatment with us, because we know how hard it is to trust when you’ve had laser treatments before that have gone wrong.
The moral of this story is, it’s one thing to have the right tools (lasers, etc.), and it’s another thing to know how to use them properly. Our doctors understand laser physics and have over 70 different lasers & technologies at their disposal, so we never have to choose the second-best option because it’s just all we have – that’s not what we want for you, you deserve the best – especially when you’re investing in yourself!
