Skin Tightening

You have changed my life. I feel beautiful again!*
— Laser facial rejuvenation patient

A non-surgical way to tighten sagging skin

As we age, sun exposure, gravity, and the loss of collagen in our skin conspire to leave our brows droopy and our jawlines sagging.

Some people suffer these effects sooner and to a greater degree than others, but the truth is no one has to feel powerless against these telltale signs of aging thanks to advances in laser technology.  Now we can tighten and lift sagging skin without the dangers or downtime associated with surgery.

The best skin tightening options available

At Reflections, we use our FDA-approved, state-of-the-art lasers to remodel the collagen in your skin, improving and tightening your skin’s tone, giving you the more youthful appearance you desire (and deserve!).

As laser specialists we have many devices to choose from and will tailor a treatment plan to your skin type, your ability for downtime, and your budget.

Ultherapy is a revolutionary, non-surgical, micro-focused ultrasound treatment for aging, sagging skin. The beauty of this 30-60 minute face and neck treatment is that it uses the body’s own regenerative response to stimulate the growth of new collagen to lift and tighten the skin. Our patients love the long-lasting results from just one treatment.  Ultherapy is used to tighten skin on the lower face, the neck, around the eyes, and to gently lift the brow.*

ThermiTight takes a novel approach to skin tightening, using a thin fiber that goes under the skin to deliver collagen-stimulating energy right where it’s needed most in a single hour-long treatment.  While a bit more invasive than over-the-skin treatments like Ultherapy and Thermage, ThermiTight can deliver more energy than these treatments because it doesn’t have to contend with the skin’s tender outer layers.  The trade off is that ThermiTight requires more downtime than Ulterapy – about two to three days.  ThermiTight does a wonderful job of lifting and tightening loose skin on the jowls and neck.*  Learn more about ThermiTight

Exilis is a safe, noninvasive treatment laser treatment that uses radiofrequency energy to heat the deep layers of the skin, increasing metabolic activity to stimulate the skin’s collagen network, tightening skin on the face, jawline and the neck. A series of three to four treatments is needed depending on the treatment area. There is no downtime and this revolutionary approach to skin tightening is very comfortable.*

Thermage is a noninvasive procedure with no downtime that is clinically proven to tighten, contour, lift, and rejuvenate the skin all over the face and neck in a single treatment. Thermage uses radiofrequency energy to gently heat fat deposits beneath the skin, causing the fat to contract so skin tightens over time. Thermage can be used to lift sagging eyebrows, to raise and sculpt cheekbones, and to redefine the jawline giving you a revitalized, more youthful appearance.*

Thermage improves the appearance of loose neck skin and “double chins.” We can also treat delicate eyelid skin, helping to tighten loose skin of the upper eyelids, and to tighten and smooth the skin of the lower eyelids. Dark under eye circles are diminished, fine lines are softened, and “bags” under the eyes become less apparent.

Thermage takes less than an hour. Your skin will feel tighter, smoother, and more youthful, and the effects will last for years. Measurable tightening and contouring improvements appear gradually over a three to six month time period following a single treatment session.*

GentleYAG laser is a noninvasive, long pulsed Nd:YAG laser that tightens loose, sagging skin. GentleYAG creates a beam of high intensity light that penetrates deeply into the skin where it causes a deep heating of tissues and contraction of the skin. The laser beam is preceded by a short burst of cooling cryogen spray, which protects the outer skin and makes the treatment very comfortable. Typically patients require three to four treatments.*

Evolastin is another excellent technology for tightening sagging skin with the added benefit of adding lost volume back to the face.  Instead of delivering energy though the skin to the deeper layers where it’s most needed, Evolastin employs a set of radiofrequency micro-needles to bypass your skin’s outermost layers and deliver energy to precisely the right area. This means that more energy can be delivered to better stimulate the deep dermis to produce more collagen, hyaluronic acid and elastin. Most patients only need one session of Evolastin to achieve smoother, fuller and tighter skin.*

Fraxel Re:Pair can also provide a nice lift to the skin on the face while also addressing uneven texture and pigment in the treatment area.  Fraxel Re:Pair vaporizes microscopic amounts of tissue deep in the skin, leaving the surrounding skin undamaged, which aids in recovery.  This treatment stimulates your body to produce new collagen, and tightens and smooths the skin, for a younger, healthier appearance.  Improvement is noted right away, though ultimate results can be expected within three to six months.*

It’s best to treat sagging skin early before surgery is required.  In some cases where only a surgical approach will help, we will refer you to our highly-specialized facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Mark Karolak. Dr. Karolak has focused solely on rejuvenating surgeries of the face and neck for his entire career as a board certified plastic surgeon. His advanced training and extensive experience makes him among the very few such highly specialized surgeons in the country.
