Volux is FDA-Approved for the jawline and chin, and specifically for improving jowls by injecting in these areas, which makes it unique in the market, because almost no other HA fillers have been studied in these areas (despite being safely used off-label in these areas). What does this additional study mean, compared to the others? It means we have very clear answers about duration, techniques, risks/safety, and suitability, which allows us to be very certain about how this filler will perform for each and every patient that we offer it to.
Volux in the jawline or chin offers a very natural result that lasts up to 2 years and improves the appearance of nearby jowls or sagging skin. It has the longest duration that any HA filler offers. Most patients experience results that last even longer as fillers have been determined to stimulate production of natural collagen and elastin.
Volux offers a different result, a more natural-feeling result, for these areas than previous filler formulations. In the past, Voluma and Radiesse, and maybe Defyne, were really the best options for this area. Radiesse does a good job of mimicing bone, but it is not dissolvable or reversible like Hyaluronic Acid is. Voluma and Defyne were used in these areas, but they both mimic firm tissue, not bone. And we all lose bone in these areas, so it will always look the most natural if we are able to replace it with something that mimics that same density and texture, which is what Volux does.
