The skin classic treatment is able to be felt, but not painful. That’s because the precise tip delivering the energy only treats exactly the cells that need treatment. In the case of Sebaceous Hyperplasia, we’re warming up the excess oil trapped inside the pore, which means you shouldn’t feel very much at all.
- Is there any downtime? When will I be photo-ready?
For treatment of broken capillaries, you may have 1-3 days of slight crusting or pinkness in the area. It’s usually very mild and resolves quickly. Do not pick at any crusting, as this may lead to scarring. The crusting will flake off on its own in a few days.

Patients should see immediate results from the treatment for millia and sebaceous hyerplasia, with clear, smooth skin after about a week. Sometimes, patients need a second treatment with Skin Classic, when they have a severe case of sebaceous hyperplasia. New sebaceous hyperplasia or millia bumps can appear, over time, and that would require the same treatment to remove the excess oil again. - Why should I choose Skin Classic treatment over liquid nitrogen at my dermatologist's office?
Skin Classic represents a big improvement over liquid nitrogen (LN2) treatments that have been traditionally used to treat these issues, which has a very high scar rate, even in the hands of trained and experienced physicians, including Dermatologists.
