Three non-invasive ways to reduce fat: Coolsculpting, Liposonix and EXILIS.

Back To Blog Overview

There’s really not much to love when it comes to love handles. In fact there’s not much to love about any areas of stubborn fat that — despite diet and exercise — just refuse to go away. Fortunately, there are several non-invasive body contouring treatments that can help with those stubborn fat areas.

And if you’re wondering if it’s really possible to use a  non-invasive approach to body contouring, the answer is “yes.” The only way to know what approach will work best for you is to see a Reflections physician for a complementary consultation. During your visit, the doctor will create a plan to help reach your goals.

The doctor has three high technology instruments — Coolsculpting®, Liposonix® and EXILIS — that can be used to target fat on your body. Depending on your personal plan, the doctor might use one, two or all three devices.

CoolSculpting is a noninvasive device that applies controlled cooling to fat cells, thereby crystallizing them. Then, the body removes them naturally. With Coolsculpting there is no downtime and for most people, the results are apparent from two to four months after the procedure. *

Liposonix focuses ultrasound waves into fat cells and is most often used on the belly, flanks and thighs. The Liposonix procedure takes about an hour and the results usually appear between eight to 12 weeks. Liposonix is ideal for people with more than one inch of fat on the abdomen and flanks. *

EXILIS, in addition to being a safe noninvasive treatment for targeting fat,  can also tighten the skin and it can be used on any part of the body. During the EXILIS process, radiofrequency energy penetrates the deep layers of the skin to target fat cells, while also stimulating the production of collagen to help tighten skin.*

*Results may vary by individual. Non Invasive body contouring is not the right choice for all patients, or all circumstances. An in-person consultation is the best way to find out what treatments are your best options to achieve your goals.
