“My scar has flattened out completely”: My Experience with Cancer Removal Scar Revision

My name is Lorraine and for the past 15 years, I’ve been a patient of Dr. Chasin. I’ve really enjoyed his super friendly demeanor which is what keeps me coming back. Recently, I had a cancerous tumor removed from my pancreas which left a pretty heavy scar on my upper stomach. It became very noticeable, and I didn’t like that it was raised and very obvious every time I looked in the mirror. When I went to Dr. Chasin, I think he was more upset that I didn’t come in sooner since that’s really the best way to treat surgical scars.

Once we started laser treatments, the texture really flattened out and it’s much less noticeable now. Every time I come back for more treatments, the color is improving and becoming lighter. I’m very happy with how it’s turning out – I thought I would have a really thick, heavy scar on my stomach for the rest of my life. I can’t say enough about Dr. Chasin and how he’s helped me feel more confident after going through a really significant diagnosis and procedure.
