Brow Lifting Injections

If you are not quite ready for surgery, brow lift injections can give you the same amazing results with a quicker, less painful treatment and recovery.

Brow Lifting Injections: The Non-Surgical Brow Lift

Injections offer some of the best and most reliably complete results for lifting a sagging brow – and in fact, most people never need to have a brow surgery if they start injectable treatments early and are consistent with them!

Through the natural aging process, our skin loses the protein that is responsible for giving our skin elasticity, as well as collagen. This means that our sin will continue to droop or sag as we age. For the brow, this means that the eyebrow may move down, causing an aged, tired, or angry look. Brow lifting injections are a quick, easy, and effective nonsurgical option for creating a more youthful appearance.

Lifting the Brow with Botox & Correcting Brow Asymmetry

Botox is a neuromodulator which works to temporarily relax the targeted muscles. When injected directly between the brows, this causes the upper forehead  muscles to pull the eyebrows back up, smoothing the skin out. Botox can also be injected to elevate the outer brow. The amount of Botox needed will depend on the desired results.

Lifting the Brow with Threads

Medical-grade threads can be injected into the skin to provide an immediate lift to the brows. These threads dissolve over the course of 6 to 9 months, allowing the body to grow new collagen in their place. This results in long-lasting and natural outcomes. Lifting threads offer a great alternative to a brow lift, and there is almost no downtime required.

Filler or Fat Brow Lift

Filler and fat transfer create a very similar end result – which is very natural and beautiful -, but the differences are quite profound on every other level:

  • Fat transfer is a surgery that’s generally performed by our plastic surgeon under general anesthesia, while filler has numbing mixed into it but no real anesthetic used
  • The results from filler last for a few years, while fat transfer is permanent
  • Fat transfer is your own fat, while filler is a foreign synthetic substance (although its very rare that anyone reacts to filler, that isn’t a possibility with your own fat)
  • Fat transfer is at least 3 times more expensive than filler when it comes to filling just the brow (the more areas of the face you fill with fat, the more economical sense it makes when compared to filler)
  • There’s no real downtime with filler, but there is at least a week of anticipated swelling and potential bruising with fat transfer. You will likely feel great right away with both, but you will not look like yourself right after fat transfer.

Frequently Asked Questions About Brow Lifting Injections

  • How long do brow lift fillers last?

Brow lift fillers will last 9-12 months.

  • Is a brow lift better than Botox injections?

Whether you choose to receive Botox injections or a surgical brow lift depends on your cosmetic goals and the amount of skin laxity you have. Botox may be the better option if you have minor sagging around your brows and forehead. If you have more severe skin laxity and desire a dramatic change, you should consider a brow lift. Our cosmetic physicians will examine your skin and consider your goals to help you make a decision for your treatment.

  • Where do you inject for brow lift?

Botox or dermal fillers will be injected between the eyebrows and along the bottom arch of the eyebrows during your brow lift. You might also receive injections along the hairline to create a tighter, smoother forehead.

  • Does a brow lift help with hooded eyes?

A brow lift is a great solution to improve the appearance of hooded eyes. Lifting the brows will open up your eyes while improving the appearance of a heavy brow and skin that sags into the fold of your eyelids.
