Kybella is made from deoxycholic acid, a bile acid naturally produced in the body to absorb fat. Kybella uses a synthetic version of this acid to treat stubborn fat below the chin and pockets of fat causing cellulite. Most patients need 2-4 treatments scheduled a month apart (6 treatments max) to give the acid time to break apart the fat which is then flushed out by the metabolic system.
