Botox is a minimally invasive facial rejuvenation treatment that can help to reduce the look of dynamic lines and wrinkles. These lines and wrinkles can be a result of sun exposure, age, or genetics1. When considering Botox injections, it is essential to choose a highly trained physician to ensure optimal results. At Reflections, you’ll only find doctors injecting Botox.
Our highly skilled physicians have performed tens of thousands of Botox injections, and we are one of the leading providers of Botox in the United States. Our physicians have extensive training in the use of Botox and even teach other physicians how to use advanced techniques to achieve the best and most long-lasting results.
At Reflections, we use Botox to treat various areas, such as:

- Creating a non-surgical brow lift or correcting brow asymmetry

Botox For Wrinkles & Skin Texture
Botox has many different uses. It is primarily used to prevent movement-based wrinkles in the face, which most commonly include frown lines, crow’s feet, forehead lines, lipstick lines, and other wrinkles or folds caused by a lifetime of muscle movement. By relaxing these muscles, Botox works to smooth the face and prevent wrinkles and lines from deepening. It can also create drastic results if your face naturally appears angry or tired due to a furrowed brow or frown lines.
Sometimes, however, we can reduce the effect of one muscle and in doing so, allow another muscle pulling in the opposite direction to overpower it, creating a desired change within the face7. Some good examples of this are a Botox browlift or a pouty lip flip.

- Why We Love It: Effectively smooths lines and wrinkles for a more youthful look
Botox For Muscle Relaxation & Unwanted Muscle Movements
We also use small amounts of Botox to relax overactive muscles, even when they aren’t causing wrinkles, to create a sense of harmony and balance within the face. For example, jawline Botox is used to relax and balance overly gummy smiles and jaw-clenching that often leads to a square, masculine jaw in female patients (sometimes the result of TMJ, this has been popularly called “facial slimming” in the media). Patients with bells palsy and other muscle asymmetries may also benefit from these types of injections.
Botox is classified as a neuromodulator, meaning it can also effectively treat medical conditions caused by unwanted muscle movements, cramps, or spasms by blocking the receptors that receive movement signals from the brain. These conditions can include migraines, overactive pores, redness, unfavorable skin texture, and TMJ (temporomandibular joint disorder).
- Recovery & Downtime: Little to none
- Numbing: Available on request
- Cost: $17 per unit
- Candidacy: Those looking to shape their jaw or improve TMJ

- Why We Love It: Effectively relaxes the targeted muscles to shape the jawline and improve TMJ symptoms
Botox For Hyperhidrosis
An exciting development is the FDA-approved use of Botox to treat hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating. Botox can disable the sweat glands for six to nine months, and sometimes longer, and helps you regain a normal life free of the stress and anxiety associated with excessive sweat. Botox temporarily blocks the nerve signals that stimulate the sweat glands. When the sweat glands don’t receive these signals, the severe sweating stops.
The positive benefits of Botox treatments lasts typically at least six months. With FDA approval, the United States joins more than 20 other countries that have already approved the use of Botox for excessive sweating. The use of Botox for treating hyperhidrosis is most effective when performed by a cosmetic physician who has received specialized training and has extensive experience with this particular Botox procedure.
- Recovery & Downtime: Little to none
- Numbing: Available on request
- Cost: $17 per unit
- Candidacy: Those with hyperhidrosis
- Duration: 3-12 months
- Why We Love It: Temporarily blocks nerve signals that stimulate sweat glands
Botox For Gummy Smile
Botox for gummy smile is a gamechanging and inexpensive procedure that makes a world of difference for anyone who feels they look better when they restrain their smile a bit, so less of their gums show. This concern, an overly gummy smile, is something that generally cannot be solved by any other means than with this treatment of Botox injections. Other brands of ‘Tox could theoretically be used here, but because this is an area that needs to function well, and because this is a very precise treatment, we almost exclusively stick to Botox for this treatment.
- Recovery & Downtime: Little to none
- Numbing: Available on request, really not necessary
- Cost: $17 per unit
- Candidacy: Those with lip that pulls up too high when smiling, or pulls asymmetrically
- Duration: 3-6 months
- Why We Love It: Temporarily blocks nerve signals that stimulate sweat glands

More Before & AftersWhy Choose Reflections Center For Botox?
Inexperienced practitioners like dentists and other doctors who don’t specialize in Botox injections have been found to suffer a much higher rate of complications8, due to their lack of knowledge and skill. One of the most common complaints we hear from patients who have seen other doctors is overtreatment – when too much Botox is injected into the skin, resulting in drooping eyelids, sagging brows, or a frozen forehead.
The physicians at Reflections perform Botox injections all day long and believe in a less-is-more approach. This has led to many happy patients, who appear younger and revitalized but are still fully expressive9. It has also created a loyal patient following who realize that all Botox providers are NOT created equal! To achieve a younger, smoother, wrinkle-free appearance, New Jersey area patients should schedule a consultation at Reflections Center today. When you come in for your appointment, our experience level gives us the ability to treat you on the same day of your consultation.
Consultations are always free with Botox in New Jersey. During your appointment, you’ll meet with one of our board-certified physicians and discuss your goals and the areas that bother you most. We’ll create a customized treatment plan for your unique concerns, and you can be in and out of our office within an hour.
