I came to Reflections to see how I might get some help for two conditions that really troubled me. One was the severely sagging skin on my face and the other, white patches. I lost a great deal of weight when I was younger, and this left a troubling amount of loose skin. I had been to two other doctors in Manhattan, both of whom I told I did not want surgery and they were ready to treat me with lasers. Dr. Chasin was candid with me. He felt that the results that I would receive without surgery would probably not make me happy, that I would see a difference, but not enough. And he had the same lasers as those other doctors. His advice was not to undergo any treatments and at a time when surgery was a reality for me, to undergo the procedure of choice. He spent over 45 minutes with me to deliver this message which was not the one that I wanted to hear, but it was the right one. For his honesty and integrity, I am so grateful.*
