Non-Surgical Skin Tightening: One Mother-of-the-Bride’s Experience with Exilis Ultra for Loose Arm Skin

I love the way it feels. It feels very gentle. It feels very calming.”

“I said, I got to go into full throttle here and become the best version of myself that I could.”

This patient decided to have Exilis Ultra treatment for her upper arms after her daughter set a July wedding date. “I said, I got to go into full throttle here and become the best version of myself that I could,” she explains, saying that her upper arm area was “getting a little ‘loosey goosey,’ so to speak. A little ‘cottage cheesy.’”

After choosing Reflections Center, our patient then researched her skin tightening options on our site. Unlike other providers, Reflections Center offers a wide array of non-surgical treatment options to best meet the needs of many patients and choose a treatment option that is truly the most effective for them. Both she and her aesthetician agreed that Exilis was the best option for her.

Exilis works with a combination of radiofrequency and ultrasound to tighten the skin. The nonsurgical procedure works by heating collagen fibers, creating a “shrink wrap” effect in the skin. The skin appears tighter and firmer quickly, and new collagen is also produced over time for increased elasticity and a firmer appearance. In addition, Exilis is FDA approved to reduce fat as well as tighten skin, and the treatment is relatively affordable at about $300-800 per session.

“I love the way it feels. It feels very gentle. It feels very calming.”

Like most, this patient had multiple treatment sessions to reach her best possible results. She purchased a package of four Exilis treatments, each lasting about 45 minutes to an hour, and scheduled her sessions a week apart.

One of the many benefits of Exilis is that the treatment is not painful whatsoever. Rather, most patients find their Exilis sessions to be relaxing. “I love the way it feels. It feels very gentle. It feels very calming,” this patient says. During treatment, a gel was first administered over her upper arms. Then, a small wand was directed over the treatment area. “At one point, you feel a little heat zap,” she explains, noting that it is not painful. “There is absolutely no pain. You feel warm, and it’s amazing.” After alerting the aesthetician that she could feel the warming sensation, the wand was then directed to another area along her upper arm until the procedure was complete. “To be quite honest with you, it was the best hour of my entire week,” our patient says.
