Lift, tighten, and tone without surgery or downtime with Exilis Ultra 360ｰ
The newly redesigned Exilis Ultra platform builds on the amazing results of the previous Exilis treatment, adding ultrasound into the radiofrequency device for even better results with shorter treatment times. Patients are often very surprised to learn how affordable Exilis is, with treatments typically around $400 – 500 per session – and once they undergo treatment, they are surprised with how quickly they see results.
“The Exilis procedure is, I want to say almost ridiculously easy from my point of view. It’s more of a massage, with zero downtime. There’s no discomfort after, you just go about your day…
I chose Exilis upon Dr. Wix-Harris’ recommendation specifically because I’m ready to undergo a facelift at this moment.
And I’m thrilled with the results. I think it’s a fabulously natural look… I don’t look as tired when I look in the mirror, and I hear compliments from people who have no idea what I’ve done, but they love my skin.”

Exilis Ultra 360ｰ Skin Tightening without Surgery
Exilis Ultra is a non-surgical, non-invasive (no needles) procedure that uses radiofrequency and ultrasound transmitted deep into the skin to tighten, lift, and tone the skin. The ultrasound and radiofrequency waves work to heat the collagen fibers which form the skin’s support. This web of collagen degrades naturally as we age, and as our weight fluctuates. As it degrades, the skin becomes thin and loose. Heating these collagen fibers up helps create a “shrink wrap” effect in the short term, and causes the body to build more collagen in the long term.

- Delivered in a series of three to six sessions (depending on treatment area), spaced one to two weeks apart
- Treatments are comfortable and take less than an hour

Best Treatments by Exilis Ultra
With nearly every device in the cosmetic procedure industry, manufacturers seek to list their machine as being best-in-class for every possible application. The truth is, no one technology does everything well – that’s why we have over 50 lasers and technologies in each of our New Jersey offices. The following are the treatments we find Exilis Ultra really excels at:
Thighs: Inner, Outer, Front, and Back – Cellulite and Toning
For quick tightening and toning, nothing beats Exilis Ultra. Cellulite on the thighs is often the cause of loose, thin skin. Exilis offers skin tightening and firming with its quick activation of collagen fiber tightening and genesis.
On women, the skin around our knees tends to become very thin as we age, especially as we enter menopausal age ranges. This leads to fine lines and wrinkles above the knee. There have been few treatment options for this concern that actually provided real results. But Exilis Ultra offers not only tightening of this loose skin but deep firming of the skin through the growth of new collagen.
Abdomen and Love Handles
Even if you get back to your pre-pregnancy weight, most moms struggle with some loose skin issues. Exilis Ultra can help tighten and tone your belly, love handles, and lower back – the areas that most commonly experience loose skin from pregnancy, weight loss, and aging – without surgery.
Upper Arm Jiggle (“Bat Wings”)
Upper arm jiggle (A.K.A. Bat Wings) is a common problem for women, especially in the perimenopausal years and beyond, when hormones work to thin the upper arm skin even more rapidly. Exilis can help tighten and firm this skin, as well as reduce some of the excess fat in this area, for a slek, toned look.
Loose skin is often the cause of excessively wrinkled hands, one of the most common complaints we hear about aging hands. Exilis works to tighten and firm the skin on the backs of the hands and fingers, for natural-looking results. This can be paired with laser skin resurfacing to remove dark spots and filler injections to camouflage tendons, for a complete nonsurgical hand rejuvenation treatment.
Neck & Jawline
Wrinkled, loose neck skin that sags is a normal part of the aging process for nearly everyone. But for those who aren’t ready to commit to surgery, Exilis Ultra can help hold off the inevitable for a while longer, at a significantly lower price point than Ultherapy or ThermiTight.
Wrinkles on the face are often due to loose skin, the result of collagen and elastin breaking down due to aging and repeated facial movements. Exilis offers one of the most natural-looking results for face lifting and tightening, by working to restore the collagen support that keeps skin elastic and youthful.

Frequently Asked Questions about Exilis Ultra
What is the treatment like?
Each session typically takes between 15 and 30 minutes.
The treatment area is marked by the operator and a conductive gel or mineral oil is applied. Next, a handpiece is glided over the skin as energy is delivered into the deeper layers of the skin. You’ll feel a warming sensation as the EXILIS hand piece is passed over the treatment area and energy is delivered to the deeper layers of your skin. EXILIS is a well-tolerated treatment thanks to built-in cooling, which keeps the top layers of the skin at a suitable temperature while the deeper layers of the dermis are being heated. An onboard thermometer allows the operator to monitor and adjust the temperature of the treatment to ensure the procedure is comfortable.
Will I need numbing or anesthesia?
No, the Exilis Ultra treatment is very comfortable, with most patients comparing it to a hot stone massage. No numbing or anesthesia is used for this treatment.
Is there downtime or recovery afterward?
Once the procedure is completed, any remaining gel or markings are removed, and you池e free to go on with your day there is no downtime required with EXILIS. You might experience a little pinkness in the treatment area that lasts 15 to 30 minutes.
Is Exilis Ultra right for me? Who’s a good candidate?
While we evaluate each patient on an individual basis, Exilis is recommended for anyone who is looking to re-sculpt their body or reverse the signs of aging without surgery or downtime. The best results are achieved by patients with mild to moderate skin laxity (i.e. some patients with significant and severe skin looseness won’t see great results from Exilis Ultra alone). If Exilis isn稚 right for you, we offer many other options that can help achieve the result you desire.
What is Exilis Ultra? How is it different than Exilis?
Exilis has been in our office for several years now, and it was a great skin tightening treatment that used radiofrequency to tighten and tone the skin. Exilis Ultra 360ｰ adds Ultrasound technology to the treatment, for a more controlled treatment with significantly better results. Ultherapy is one of the better-known ultrasound skin tightening treatments, but because Exilis Ultra combines ultrasound with radiofrequency, the treatment is very comfortable and does not require the numbing or downtime of Ultherapy.
When will I start seeing results?
Most patients start seeing results at around 3 weeks into their treatment plan, but we have had patients who saw results immediately, and sometimes the process can be slower, taking up to 6 weeks to see results.
We take a series of “before” and “after” photos to help patients visualize their results because treatments like Exilis that develop over time, it can be hard for you to see this improvement on your own. This works both ways, though, making this treatment one that won’t be a dead giveaway for having had “work done.”
How much of a difference will I see with Exilis?
Treatments like Exilis that work to stimulate your body’s own processes to build more collagen can have a different impact on each individual. Most patients do see a moderate to very good improvement from Exilis. However, there is no way for us to know to what degree your body will react to the treatment. This is the case with all nonsurgical treatments that use lasers, radiofrequency, and ultrasound.
How long will my results last?
Exilis provides excellent results that tend to last 6-12months. Most patients will retreat each year.
Alternatives to Exilis
There are 3 main categories of skin tightening treatments:
- Non-Surgical and Non-Invasive Skin Tightening: Ultherapy, Thermage, ThermiSmooth, VelaShape, And Exilis Ultra
- Minimally Invasive Skin Tightening:ThermiTight, SmartlipoTriplex, Jplasma, and Cellulaze
- Surgical Skin Tightening Body Lifts:Tummy Tuck, Thigh Lift, Bra-Line Lift, Lower Body Lift, etc.
For patients considering Non-Surgical, Non-Invasive Body Skin Tightening, Exilis Ultra is our #1 recommendation. Thermage and Ultherapy are considerably more expensive and tend to produce around the same level of results for the body – although they may be better options for the face. The advantage of Ultherapy or Thermage is that their results do tend to last longer. This means fewer treatments overall, although not necessarily at a cost savings. ThermiSmooth is our treatment of choice for drooping eyelids, and we often recommend Ultherapy or Thermage for the jawline. VelaShape may be a better choice if you are specifically looking to target cellulite and the underlying issues are more complex than just loose skin.
For patients who are open to a minimally invasive procedure, which is performed under local anesthesia with about 1-2 days of downtime, ThermiTight is often our recommendation when skin tightening alone is needed. If fat removal or cellulite improvement are the key goals, then Smartlipo or Cellulaze are often recommended. We are weary of Jplasma at this time because the technology has not been fine-tuned and is somewhat risky in its current state – however, that may change in the coming months.
We do not perform surgical body lifts in our practice, although we do see the value for patients who have significant loose skin after massive weight loss. We often see patients who were told they needed a tummy tuck by a plastic surgeon, who are quite happy with the results of a less invasive procedure, such as Exilis Ultra or ThermiTight.
Our dedicated cosmetic physicians are well-versed in the latest options and are committed to giving our patients honest and complete information, so they can make the best decisions regarding their cosmetic care, even if that means going to see a plastic surgeon at another practice for a surgical body lift. We offer free consultations with our cosmetic physicians because accurate and honest information should be available to all patients.
Maximize Your Exilis Ultra Results
Patients should increase water intake on the day of treatment and the day after and should engage in light exercise such as walking to enhance cosmetic results. Aim for around 80 oz. of water (which is a normal, healthy level for you to consume every day – but common knowledge is not always common practice) and maybe an hour of walking. These two tips help your metabolism work to its best ability. Exilis works by triggering your metabolism to clear away old collagen so it can build new collagen in its place. So helping your metabolism out by drinking more water and walking a bit more will help it do it’s very best work.
You can also pair Exilis Ultra with other procedures to create an even bigger impact:
Liquid Facelift + Exilis Ultra
Many of our patients who are seeking to look their best, often for a quickly-approaching event, will opt for a liquid facelift (botox and fillers) in addition to an Exilis face and neck treatment. Combined, these procedures will lift and refresh the face and neck, without surgery or downtime. Our skilled physician injectors ensure the most natural-looking results.
Non-Invasive Mommy Makeover
Young moms often complain about loose skin and excess fat that just won’t budge after giving birth, but don’t want to undergo expensive surgeries with months of recovery downtime. Exilis Ultra tightens up loose skin without surgery, while CoolSculpting and/or SculpSure remove excess fat from the body without surgery. This makes for the perfect no-downtime no-surgery Mommy Makeover option (though you don’t have to be a mom to enjoy its results!).
