DermaSweep

Microdermabrasion has long been used as an alterative to laser treatments, deep chemical peels and other intensive procedures to inexpensively correct mild skin damage. But some people don't like the feel of crystals on their skin, or the fine residue that can sometimes be left behind after treatment.

Now there's a way to achieve the same benefits of conventional microdermabrasion without the use of crystals. DermaSweep incorporates a variable level vacuum pump that gently lifts the skin surface as specially-designed treatment brushes "sweep away" dead skin cells. This results in a mild peel that polishes the skin to leave it fresh and invigorated.

Because of its unique mechanism of action, DermaSweep can be used to infuse the skin with topical treatments that enhance performance far beyond conventional microdermabrasion.

DermaSweep's topical solutions are formulated to treat specific conditions such as acne and scarring. They include Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe Vera, Chamomile, Panthenol, Vitamin C, Sodium Hyaluronate, Salicylic Acid 3, Witch Hazel, Azelaic Acid, Kojic Acid, Lactic Acid, Bearberry, or Licorice Root dependent on specific targeted needs of the individual.

The strengths, combination of solutions, and level of vacuum pressure are completely regulated to offer exactly the strength and depth needed. It's therefore ideal for scar removal, treatment of stretch marks and skin hydration. DermaSweep is also used pre and post procedure to enhance results from laser therapy.

What are the conditions DermaSweep can treat?
Non invasive therapy for improvement of:

Fine lines
Sun damage and uneven skin texture
Acne and acne scars
Surgical scars and stretchmarks
Melasma, brown patches and age spots
Dehydrated, dry or dull skin
Post laser treatment skin care

How long does a treatment take, how many treatments are advised
and can it be used on all skin types?

Treatments take approximately 45 minutes and depending on the desired results and the areas being treated, a series of 4 to 6 treatments, each 10 days to 2 weeks apart are recommended. The treatment can be performed on patients with all skin types.

Does DermaSweep hurt and is downtime required after treatment?

No. The treatment is quite comfortable and relaxing and no downtime is required afterwards.

How will my skin look after treatment?

Your skin will have a healthy glow and be noticeably smoother to the touch. The appearance of fine lines, melasma, acne, hyperpigmentation or other targeted skin conditions will lessen over a series of treatments.

When will I see results?

Treatment results are progressive and you should notice correction with each treatment. Some results like smoother texture usually appear after the first treatment.

Can DermaSweep be combined with other skin or laser treatments?

It certainly can! It is quite common to combine Intense Pulsed Light treatments (Photofacial, IPL) with DermaSweep for their synergistic and more comprehensive results. DermaSweep is also used to maintain and increase the longevity of results seen with Fraxel, Portrait and Erbium laser treatments. Studies have regularly demonstrated an increase in the level of collagen synthesis when such procedures are done in combination.

For more profound results, the laser therapies should be performed first and the DermaSweep used to maintain results.
